According to the statement made by the Council; it was stated that the process for the accreditation of the ELA Special Education and Rehabilitation Center, which serves with the main goal of integrating differently developing children into society in the TRNC, was initiated by the World Health Tourism Council in order to accept patients from abroad.

The statement said that the center was examined by a committee consisting of Council President Dr. Ahmet Savaşan, Council Board Member and President of the Association of Self-Employed Physicians Dr. Remzi Gardiyanoğlu, Board Member Prof. Dr. Mesut Yalvaç and the Council's expert advisor on In-Water Rehabilitation Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hülya Yücel, and it was determined that ELA Special Education and Rehabilitation Center could provide the education they provide to children with special needs in the TRNC on a scientific basis and which they have achieved successful results, to children and young people coming from abroad.

Stating that the center, which provides qualified and result-oriented training to children in our country in areas such as autism, chromosomal anomalies, intellectual disability, language and speech disorders, cerebral palsy, attention deficit and hyperactivity, special learning disability, hearing impairment, has started to work to accept children and young people with special needs from abroad. Ahmet Savaşan said, “It is a requirement of being a social state that our own children can benefit from such full-fledged private centers, especially the ELA rehabilitation center, which is fully equipped in international standards with its team of experts, with adequate state support. We expect our state to take sincere and concrete steps to meet the educational needs of our children and young people and to reintegrate them into society by strengthening the centers within the state and supporting these and similar successful private centers in their own countries.”.

Yine devletin vizyonu ile bu ve bunun gibi merkezlerin teşvik ve desteklenmesi sayesinde, yurt dışından hem eğitim ve rehabilitasyon hizmeti almak hem de tatil yapmak için Kuzey Kıbrıs’ın büyük bir potansiyeli olduğunu ifade eden Dr. Ahmet Savaşan, “ülkemiz rehabilitasyon alanında sağlık turizmi yapabilme noktasında önemli bir potansiyele sahip. Bizler bu alanın gelişmesi için cesaretlendirici olmaya devam edeceğiz ve uluslararası şartları yerine getiren kuruluşlara akreditasyon vereceğiz.
